During the eight years I have been taking drum lessons, Karen has catered to all my musical and academic needs: when I needed to do my theory grades to get on to a sixth form music course, she had me prepared for the exam within three lessons; when I had to perform several times for that music course, she helped me achieve an A grade every time. Karen has also taught me how to read music, while enjoying playing drums rather than having my head stuck in a text book! Thanks to Karen I can play many styles of music, and enjoy playing very technical, challenging music with many talented musicians. I thoroughly recommend Karen to anyone who wants to excel at playing the drums and have fun at the same time!

Mandy is a great guitar teacher. She has taught my for about 4 years and I think I have improved a lot since then. She teaches me a lot of songs of my choice which is more fun and exciting.
But I also learn classic blues and other songs on my guitar.

I decided to learn drums on a bit of a whim, and I'm so glad I chose the Boom Room Studio, I have learnt so much including how to read drum music, and the time at the studio is always such a pleasure and great fun. I like that you learn the essentials but can also pretty much go straight into learning songs you love too. Karen is an inspirational teacher and an amazing drummer. I didn't have much confidence that I'd be any good but the lesson is now one of my favourite parts of the week. I'd recommend trying the drums to everyone and I'd particularly recommend Karen as your tutor.
